Financial Assistance

In choosing to apply for enrollment in the Environmental & Adventure School (EAS), students and their families are choosing participation in a LWSD Choice School.  Our unique program incorporates various out-of-classroom learning experiences: on- and off-campus experiential elective activities, community service projects, and multi-day camping experiences. EAS families recognize that, despite the staff applying for and receiving many grants, these unique experiences result in additional program costs over and above the cost of basic, public education.  Families are aware of these costs when enrolling in EAS and these costs should not be a barrier for a student to participate in the EAS program. PTO can provide financial assistance for those who need it.

Additional program costs currently include:

• Consumable materials fee for Art, Spanish, Math, and Science $30
• Wednesday Electives fees $0 - $150
• Meals/Food fees for Camp Hamilton & Bowman Bay week excursions $150
• April Adventure / Spring Trip fee (approximate; varies by trips) $450 - $2500
• Yearbook $30

The EAS PTO has a financial assistance program that can benefit students at EAS. Families who wish to apply for EAS PTO financial assistance are asked to complete the EAS PTO Financial Assistance Request Form and submit it to the EAS Office Manager.
