School Supply List

Required Supplies

Students are expected to bring the following supplies to school. 
Please permanently label starred (*) items with student's name.

Everyday supplies -

  • Sturdy school backpack *must fit inside locker!  Locker dimensions: 29" H x 11.5" W x 13" D
  • One 2-inch 3-ring binder (**NO ZIPPERED BINDERS OR ACCORDIAN FILES**) *
  • 1 pencil pouch *
  • No. 2 pencils (multiple - refill throughout the year)
  • Red correcting pens/pencils (multiple - refill throughout the year)
  • Yellow highlighting markers (multiple - refill throughout the year)
  • Black fine tip sharpies (multiple - refill throughout the year)
  • 1 Set of 3-ring dividers for binder (must have at least 7 dividers)
  • 1 Glue stick
  • 1 Pink or gum eraser
  • 1 30 cm metric ruler (equivalent to 12 inches) *
  • 1 USB 2.0 GB Flash Drive (portable file storage) *

Field note books -

  • One 5" x 7" spiral-bound field notebook for outdoor field study notes in a gallon-sized Ziploc bag *
  • One 5" x 7" BOUND journal (not spiral) for expeditions (to be used all 3 years at EAS) *

School community supplies -

  • 1 Package 3 x5" lined note cards
  • 2 Reams of white 8 ½ x 11", 20 lb. printer paper
  • 1 Box Kleenex
  • 1 Set (12 pack) good quality colored pencils 

 

Required Field work gear

Students must bring the following items to school when needed for Community Stewardship Projects & School Excursions.

  • Pair sturdy work gloves with reinforced suede or leather palms (not cotton)
  • Pair work shoes/boots, ideally waterproof and large enough to wear with a heavy pair of socks during colder weather
  • Waterproof, hooded rain jacket and pants (large enough to wear over warm clothing)
  • Warm hat that covers ears (stocking cap)
  • Leak-proof, hard-sided, re-useable water bottle

  • Black or Blue ink pens 
  • 1 Set good quality fine tip colored markers (e.g., Pentel)

Optional but strongly recommended -

  • Calculator for home use - preferred TI-30X IIS Scientific Calculator (Note: students have access to classroom calculators for use at school.)
  • Neoprene Laptop pouch/sleeve/carrier (Laptops are 13” X 10”)
